Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I'm way behind on LJ, it was a crazy week and I'm still running behind.  I'm hoping to get caught up tonight...  Here's a little video with appropriate music from today when we worked on the teeter.  Vic really surprised me, it's WAY higher than it's ever been before, but I figured I should try it, since I have the stuff in my backyard.  :-)

Okay, maybe margaritas aren't like mimosa's in the morning... ;-)  Here's the video!

Re: lay off the margaritas...

yeah yeah, okay now there's video... ;-)
Dang, with that music I need to go get my Hot Pupper Pants on.
Looking good. You have such nice dogs.
lol Mike and I go to the Mariachi festival every year and Mariachi's were a big part of our wedding. I LOVE mariachis!
Thanks about the doggies! They are good dogs, but Vic is sooooo much easier to work with than the rest of them. Seems unfair that some bcs can be so simple.
Damn, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Vic. I can't tell you why, but he is so in my top 5 dogs that are not my own;) He is one happy boy. I am looking forward to meeting all of you at the end of June, margarita's in the grove;) I want to talk a-frames with you too;) I have decided to train a running, but am going to just teach him how to run the board, no box.....did you start with the box or switch to the box? What do you like? What don't you like? I think the biggest thing for me is that it looks unnatural for some dogs. It's not where the dog would naturally stride. How are you feeling about it? Need new video of it from you;)
Thanks! Vic is a really nice guy, he's kinda like a surfer-dude, very laid back, until he's doing something he loves.

I started with the box with Vic and admit, I don't think it's the most natural striding for a lot of dogs, but it is something they can do comfortably and I like the criteria. When I get back from Cinco de Mayo festivities, I'll add you to the friends list that can see the grid work. Rachel writes about it in her Clean Run article, but I still don't think she gives it enough credit. Vic's frames were getting a little sloppy, but by going back to the grid, they cleaned up really quick. I'm optimistic about the box. My main hang up is all the proofing, but that's my hang up with most all training. ;-)
Kate has decided to fly to Oregon, so I'm no longer sure if we'll be making the trip. It's a long drive to do solo. I'm still torn about it, since Finn is in the same position Max was when I did the trip. I feel like I owe it to Finn and Betty to give him the same opportunities I gave Max. Max didn't win the Regional because he was the best dog, he just sucked the least, rather I just didn't suck too much, since the ugliness of the run was all my doing. I sported an upper and lower jaw bruise on my upper thigh for 12 days after that run. Max was PISSED and got me despite me gambling the last third of the course. ;-) Fortunately for me, the judge didn't see his correction. Dewey did and told me I deserved it. ;-) She was right. Finn's not the fastest dog, but we are fast enough and very consistent.... I have a few more weeks to decide.

I hope you do make it up, but I certainly understand not wanting to drive - I know I wouldn't!
Geez, that was like the perfect music. Maybe ALL Vic's training vids should have a Latin vibe?

I'm serious!
Vic would probably like that too. He lovse the horns. :-)
That Vic is a natural!
Thanks! He certainly makes this game seem easy. :-)
